Job Description:
IDR Healthcare is seeking a travel Cath Lab Technologist for a
travel job in Charlotte, North Carolina. Job Description &
Requirements
o No Trauma designation
o Not a Teaching Hospital - no residents/students
o Chest Pain Center
o Certified Stroke Center
o Radius rule: Traveler's permanent address must be 50 miles
outside of home unit
--- Department Information:
o Outpatient Interventional Cardiac Services
o Minimum Years of Experience required? Tech -- 2 years
Cardiac/Cath Lab
o Will you accept a first-time traveler? Yes
--- Patient Types/Common Diagnoses:
o Chest pain, Vascular issues, Ablations and PPM
--- Required License, National Certification, Certs (BLS, ACLS,
etc.), or other position specific requirements such as Driver's
License and/or Insurance:
o Cath Lab Tech: BLS, ACLS, ARRT, RCIS
--- Skills required:
o Cath Lab Tech: Previous experience with the above-mentioned
patients
--- aseptic technique knowledge, sheath pulling, TR band
placement/removal, line securement, EKG/cardiac rhythm
interpretation, IABP/Impella
--- Support within the Department:
o Department leadership
--- Technology/Equipment:
o EMR: EPIC
o Department specific Equipment: Merge/Hemo
--- Floating:
o None
--- Orientation (facility and unit):
o NEO
o 3-4 days departmental
--- Scheduling:
o Weekend rotation: every other for invasive Cardiology;
--- no weekend call for EP, no weekend call for Pre/Post
o Call Required:
--- Required to take 1-2 nights of call per week and 1 week every 6
weeks
--- Call back time? 30 min
--- Sleep room: there are (3) call rooms available for staff
o Holiday Expectations: Travelers will work 75% of holidays
o RTO: Manager approval
o Shift times: Varies, based on needs
o Schedule cycle: every 6 weeks

o Scrub Color: Navy or Green surgical (provided)
