Med Surg / Telemetry for a travel nursing job in Charlotte, North

Job Type: Full-time
Average Census: 32
Minimum Experience Required:
2 years of Medical/Telemetry (Med/Tele) experience
Patient Types/Common Diagnoses:
Medical-Surgical (MedSurg): DKA, Sepsis, Wounds, CHF, AKI, PNA,
Diabetes, Anemia, Sickle Cell Crisis
Surgical: Pancreatitis, Spinal Fusions, Orthopedic total joint
replacements (Knees/Hips)
Patient Ratios:
Day Shift RN: 1:5
Night Shift RN: 1:6
Required Licenses & Certifications:
Active RN License
Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification
Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) Certification
National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS)
Certification
Required Skills & Competencies:
Cardiac rhythm interpretation
Experience with non-titrating cardiac drips (Cardizem,
Amiodarone)
General medical/surgical nursing skills, including:
Care of patients with tubes and drains
IV insertion and management
Administration of blood products
Wound care and dressing changes
Job Responsibilities:
Provide high-quality patient care following best practices and
hospital protocols
Monitor and interpret patient vitals and cardiac rhythms
Administer medications, IVs, and non-titrating cardiac drips as
required
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement
patient care plans
Educate patients and families on treatment plans and post-discharge
care
